A busy week this week for picky pencil.bringing the joys of doodling to the lovely ladies of Cruden bay WRI and the first meeting of the Strichen crafters.
Thank you to both groups for inviting me along to talk about my business and to pass along some fun drawing exercises and for making me feel so welcome.
Cruden bay WRI.
On Tuesday at the wri the ladies kindly listened to me talk about my business and the benefits I have found through using pencils in my artwork. I then demonstrated how to draw a mandala so that they could create their own colour in page at home and reap the benefits of drawing ,just like the Tibetan monks who use the creation of a mandala as a focus to pray and meditate.
There was certainly lots of laughter and joking once everyone got started and I hope the colour in pack will be a useful start to creating your own doodles at home.
Strichen Craft circle.
On Friday evening I was invited to attend the first meeting of the Strichen craft circle who met in the Ritchie hall on a damp and drizzly night. This time I demonstrated how to copy any picture using the grid method transferring the image in each square one at a time .I also had a few packs of this butterfly grid for the ladies to try at home. Turns out the meeting was so popular I didn't have enough packs so feel free to download a copy here.
A busy but great week spreading the joys of doodling.
